Curious about incorporating these techniques into a guild program or shop class?
Lori's workshops encourage makers to experiment, learn new techniques and leave with projects and ideas they can continue exploring on their own.

Use your fabric flower motifs and colorful patterns to cut into shapes that become a beautiful one-of-a-kind floral arrangement. Make a patch, decorate a vintage chair or jacket, make a hot-pad trivet from your design. Then REA to secure it and top off with free-motion quilting (optional). It's a versatile technique to juuush up anything too boring!

Learn approachable improv piecing and quilting techniques to construct colorful, functional kitchen textiles with personality.

Transform a favorite photo into bold fiber art by manipulating the image into just a few values, then rebuilding it in fabric.

Turn everyday bandanas and utilitarian textiles into sturdy, structured bags and heirloom vessels that celebrate texture and form.

Transform a wooden or cigar box into a stunning piece of embossed art that's still functional. Incorporate a favorite word, favorite leaf or frond to create a one-of-a-kind statement piece.

Use scrap fabric and color blending to create a lovely flower bloom patch--or keep going and make it into a small quilt. Consider embellishing with thread and beads to be extra!
